Emma Jeanette Moon

Emma Jeanette Moon, 89, of Valdosta died Sunday, February 18, 2018. She was born on October 24, 1928 in Cordele, Georgia to the late James E. Waldrip, Sr. and Velma Veal Waldrip. Mrs. Moon was a lifelong resident of this area, a homemaker and a member of the Northside Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother who enjoyed working in her yard and helped to raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Sandra and Thomas Bellflowers of Valdosta, Wanda and Gary Miller of Rock Hill, SC; seven grandchildren, Melissa Lewis of Clovis, NM, Charles H. Moon, Kimberly Moon both of Tennessee, Charles Thomas and Michelle Bellflowers of Keaton Beach, FL, Lisa and Shane Jordan, Debi and Andy Kennedy all of Hahira, Anthony and Ashley Miller of Hickory Grove, SC; 14-great grandchildren, 1-great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Moon; her son and daughter in law, Charles R. and Geraldine Moon; her sister, Geneva Griffin.
Graveside services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Willis officiating.
