Emily Jean Leonard

Emily Jean Leonard, 65, of Lake Park died on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Orlando, Florida on November 26, 1947 to the late Elijah and Elsie Loretta Norton Metts and has been a resident of this area since 1984. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Robert Vann of Lake Park; three grandchildren, Ashley Harris of Kansas City, Kansas, Brittany Harris and Erik Harris both of Lake Park; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Harris and Ariana Harris; a sister, Joanne Myers of Live Oak, Florida; three brothers and a sister-in-law, William and Tina Metts of Live Oak, Ronald Eric Metts of Lake City, Florida and Phillip Edward Metts of Live Oak; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Emily Jean Leonard will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Sandlin officiating.
