Elza Otis Taylor III, 68, of Valdosta died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on September 27, 1944 the son of Sara Belote Taylor of Valdosta and Elza Otis Taylor, Jr. of Owensboro, Kentucky.
Otis is survived by his cousins, Ann Belote Uhrick of Indio, CA, Mary Belote Lyle of Fernandina Beach, FL and M. M. Belote of Huntsville, AL, friends and mentors, Sallie Brinkley, Priscilla Botford, Clinton and Denise Hopson all through Normal Life of Georgia and the co-workers and employees of Mackey Lumber Company. For several years he attended First United Pentecostal Church of Valdosta and recently was attending Brighter Day International Ministries.
Funeral services for Otis will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at two thirty p. m. at the graveside at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p. m. Wednesday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Valdosta Chapter of Normal Life of Georgia, 1700 Park Avenue, Valdosta, GA.
