Elsie Rose Cannady

Elsie Rose Cannady, 93, of Waycross, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born in Valdosta, on October 28, 1931, to the late Clarence Raymond O’Neal and Rose Mary Virginia McLeod O’Neal. She had worked for Levi’s as a seamstress and was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cannady is survived by her son Ronnie Cannady, of Valdosta, daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Roger Waters, of Thomasville, and daughter, Denise Dickerson, of Waycross; her grandchildren, Christopher Waters and Tony Waters, both of Thomasville, GA, and Monifea Dickerson and Earl Cannady, Jr. both of Jacksonville, FL; many nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law Carol Kellerman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, William Horace Cannady, stepson Edward J. Terrell, and son Earl Cannady, Sr, and her sister Betty O'Neal, brother Ray O'Neal.

A funeral service for Mrs. Cannady will be held at 2pm in the chapel of the McLane Riverview Mausoleum. The family will visit prior to the service from 1-2pm. Online condolences to the family may be expressed at www.mclanefuneralservices.com
