Elouise Pearson Moulton

Elouise Pearson Moulton, 95, of Valdosta, died on Monday May 2, 2022, at Fellowship Home. Born in Nashville, to the late John Loren Cornelius and Mary Collins Cornelius, she had been a lifelong resident of this area. Elouise graduated from Berrien County High School in the early 1940’s. Soon after graduation she married Abner Pearson in September of 1943, and they were married for 44 years prior to his death in 1990. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her son, and she worked very hard to serve and provide for her family. For many years, Elouise worked for Dr. Richard Winston as an assistant in his doctor’s office. Several years after Mr. Pearson’s death, Elouise married George Moulton and they were married for nearly a decade prior to his death in 2004. Mrs. Moulton was a longtime member of Remerton United Methodist Church and New Harvest United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Wayne & Wendy Pearson of Ray City; three granddaughters and their spouses, Wendy & Todd Woodruff and Morgan & Tanner Stone, all of Valdosta, and Chandler Pearson of Atlanta; three great grandchildren, Allie Woodruff, Austin Woodruff and Carson Grace Stone, all of Valdosta; a brother-in-law, Dr. William Womack of Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving are two stepdaughters, George Ann Thomas of Valdosta, and Linda Carol & Jack Strickland of Hull, GA; a step son, Fred & Edie Moulton of Green Cove Springs, FL, and several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Nathan Orlin Reedy. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, a sister Camelle Womach, two brothers John Cornelius and Frank Cornelius.
The funeral for Mrs. Moulton will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the River Pavilion at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Danny Moree and Rev. Stan Posey will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview. The family will receive friends at Carson McLane Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 pm.
