Elizabeth Marie Pitts

November 26, 1999 — July 1, 2010

Elizabeth Marie Pitts was born Friday, November 26, 1999 in Valdosta, Georgia. She returned to her Heavenly Father from her family's loving arms at home on Thursday, July 1, 2010. Elizabeth was the precious daughter of Benjamin and Melanie Pitts and an amazing older sister to Madeline Grace Pitts. She leaves to grieve many friends and family members around the world. Elizabeth enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest extent, only limited by the frail body she lived in while here. She battled brain tumors and cancer like a true warrior. Elizabeth faced every challenge with no fear, just faith. She loved God and all the splendors only He could offer. She enjoyed fishing with her Daddy, cooking with her Mommy, and swimming with her Sissy. Elizabeth was an honor roll student at Pine Grove Elementary School. She loved music, especially Josh Turner, the color pink, and Tinkerbell. Most of all Elizabeth loved serving others. She collected items through her Hugs of Hope project for over 4 years, bringing smiles to hundreds of children who spent time in the hospital.

A Celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church today at 2 p.m. A brief graveside service will be held at Riverview Memorial Gardens immediately following.
