Elizabeth Haley Hyatt, 76, of Valdosta, passed away on December 17, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Moultrie, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Hyatt was born on October 18, 1948, in Moultrie, the daughter of Howard W. Hall, Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Hall. Haley was a graduate of Moultrie High School and received a BA degree in Art from Valdosta State University. She attended graduate school in art history at the University of Georgia.
A resident of Valdosta, GA, she retired from South Georgia Regional Development Center as director of the South Georgia workforce investment act program. Haley was an accomplished writer, artist and photographer and was involved in numerous community organizations. She had a love for music, travel and art and in her later years was a devoted caregiver to her late husband. She was a member of Temple Israel in Valdosta.
Haley was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Betty Hall Jr., her second husband Kenyon Rosenberg, and recently by her third husband, Barry Zeke Hyatt. She is survived by her son, Mark Howard Blanchard of Moultrie, her first husband James Dana Blanchard, several cousins and her beloved cat “Roxie”.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in the Hebrew Section of Sunset Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Susan Rupright will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Colquitt County Humane Society, 1412 1st Street NE, Moultrie, GA 31768.
