Elizabeth Caroline Rigdon

Elizabeth C. Rigdon, 95, of Valdosta, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare. She was born February 17, 1915 in Glen St. Mary, FL to the late James Bright Garrison and Dolly Mae McGhin Garrison. Mrs. Rigdon was a retired nurse from South Georgia Medical Center and was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Margaret and Bobbie Brooks of Valdosta, Betty and Marlyn Carter of Naylor, Dolly Newmans of Dalton, Conrad Rigdon of Valdosta, Frances and Harmon Weldon of Hahira, Judy Espinoza of Valdosta, Sandra and Johnny West of Ray City and daughter in law, Nell Rigdon of Naylor, seventeen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Rigdon is preceded in death by her husband, Turner Rigdon, two sons, Charles Rigdon and Curtis Rigdon.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from one p. m. until two p. m. Burial will follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to United Hospice, 407 Cowart Avenue, Valdosta, GA 31602.
