Elise Holder Davis

Elise Holder Davis, 105, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at the Fellowship Nursing Home. She was a lifelong resident of Valdosta and was the daughter of Will L. and Alba Clements Holder. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC).

Survivors include her son, Edward F. Davis and his wife Brenda of Dalton, Georgia; her granddaughters, Ellen Davis of Jacksonville, Florida and Angela Moran of Boston, Massachusetts; three great-grandchildren, Jessica and Chris Bell of Jacksonville, Florida and Kathleen Moran of Boston, Massachusetts; a nephew, Dr. Lewis Holder of Cocoa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Free Davis, a sister, Evelyn Timmons and a brother, William Holder.

A graveside service for Elise Holder Davis will be held today, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. John McGowen officiating.
