Edwin Paul Rains, Sr.

Edwin Paul Rains Sr., 67, of Valdosta, GA passed away September 19, 2014 at Select Medical Hospital in Tallahassee, FL after a brief illness. He was born on November 22, 1946 in Williamsburg, KY to Norma Jean Ellison Rains and the late Paul Rains. Mr. Rains was retired from the United States Air Force and moved to Valdosta four years ago to be closer to his family.
These last four years with his family will be dearly remembered and as a father and "Papaw" he will be forever held in the hearts of his loved ones.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Edwin Paul Jr. and Tammy Rains of Valdosta; his mother, Norma Jean Ellison Rains of Williamsburg, KY; one sister, Sherrill Rains Gambrel of Newport Richie, FL; three grandchildren, Kayla, Tiffany, and Christopher Rains of Valdosta, GA; one niece and her husband and their three children, Angie and Jon Radabaugh of St. Charles, IL; several cousins and extended family in the Williamsburg, KY area.
