Edwin Lee Dorminey

Edwin Lee Dorminey, 81, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lakeland, Georgia on May 9, 1927 to the late Walt and Ruby Theodora Vegenrol Carter. She was a homemaker and had attended the Azalea City Church of God.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Michelle Dorminey of Valdosta; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Dorminey, Sr., a daughter, Barbara Ann Ash, and two sons, William Roy Dorminey, Jr., and Donald Dewayne Dorminey.

Services for Edwin Lee Dorminey will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 12 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Scarbrough officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
