Edward Arden Lund, Jr.

Edward Arden Lund, Jr., 76, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Birmingham, AL on October 11, 1945, to the late Edward Arden Lund, Sr., and Sally Ruth Bell Lund. Mr. Lund grew up in Douglas, GA and has lived in Valdosta for the last 53 years. He loved to fish and hunt. He was the owner of High Grove Farm and a member of First Baptist Church of Valdosta.
Mr. Lund is survived by his wife, Evelyn Lund; his son, Kirk Lund; daughter, Nichole Purvis (John), all of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Grayson Lund, Alana Lund, Conner Purvis (Kayla), and Eden Collins (Carl); great grandchildren, Sadie Purvis and Adeline Purvis; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Greg Lund (Karen) and Craig Lund(Carol) both of South Carolina.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, May 20, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Valdosta with Reverend Chuck Owens and Reverend Mac Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9-10am at the church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Missions.
