Edward A. Condon

Edward A. Condon, 78, of Valdosta, formerly of Columbus, died on Friday, August 7, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on February 22, 1931 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Edward M. and Winneford L. Travis Condon. Mr. Condon was retired from the United States Air Force and also retired as an innkeeper. He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jacquelyn Condon of Valdosta; a daughter , Katherine Lane of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Ashley and Barbara Condon of Lyles, TN; granddaughters, Faith and Bryttani Condon of Lyles, TN; and his dog, Skippi. Mr. Condon was preceded in death by his son-in-law, LaVerne Lane.

Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Phenix City, Alabama with Rev. Richard Pieplow officiating.
