Edna Reese Byrd

Edna Reese Byrd, 91, of Valdosta, died on Monday, November 11, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on April 8, 1928 in Samson, Alabama to the late Edward and Eva Hinson Murdock. Mrs. Byrd was a homemaker and of the Southern Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Barnes of Valdosta; a granddaughter and her husband, Reese and Walter Fletcher of Clyattville; great-grandchildren, John Green, Marianne Green both of Clyattville, Catherine Green of Jackson, Mississippi, Avery Fletcher, Edie Fletcher and Elsie Fletcher all of Clyattville; a great-great-grandchild, KloeeAnne Ford of Clyattville. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Byrd; a son, Robert Byrd; two sisters, Francis Barnes and Wilema Shirah.
