Edna Marjorie Parsley Hillis, 73, of Lake Park, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Crestwood Nursing Home. She was born on January 24, 1935 in Selwyn, West Virginia to the late Harlin Parsley, Jr. and Pricy Brewer Parsley. Mrs. Hillis was a homemaker, a member of the Lake Park Church of God, the wife of the late Reverend John A. Hillis who served churches in GA, SC, OH, AL and FL for over forty years. She taught Sunday school, bible school, youth camp and was a former administrative assistant with Procter and Gamble.
Mrs. Hillis is survived by one son and daughter in law, John and Ricki Hillis of Lake Park, two granddaughters, Aerial Hillis and Ashley Hillis, one brother, Travis Parsley and one sister, Garnett Gibson of Columbus, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2008 at ten a. m. in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, 1512-1 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707.
