Eben Corey (Buck) Mann, Jr.

Eben Corey “Buck” Mann, Jr., 89, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Alden Point. He was born on September 16, 1916 in Vienna, GA to the late Eben Corey Mann, Sr. and Angie Shepherd Mann. Mr. Mann was employed with Hercules as a woods superintendent, a veteran of the United States Marine Corp during World War II where he received the purple heart and bronze star and was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS.

He is survived by two sons, Gibson Mann of Hattiesburg, MS, David Mann of Fletcher, NC, six daughters, Madie Pegram of Brunswick, GA, Bonnie Moore of Tifton, GA, Susan Newman of Waycross, GA, Sara Marantz of Cedar Hill, TX, Deborah Logan of Laurel, MS, Laura Morgan of Hattiesburg, MS, 27 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, two sisters, Abby Kneece of Monetta, SC, Mary Paul of Mantica, CA, one brother, John Mann of Chapin, SC and is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Christian Mann.
