Easter Jane Freeman Haney, 81, of Valdosta died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Southern Care Assisted Living in Adel. She was born on October 9, 1933 in Richton, Mississippi to the late Charles Wesley Freeman and Linnie Summers Freeman. Mrs. Haney was retired from Texture Tex (Queen's Carpets), was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Ministry.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter in law, Phillip R. and Olive Haney of Garland, TX, Donald R. Haney of San Angelo, TX and Terry L. Haney of Morven, one daughter and son in law, Deborah and Dean Sharpe of Hahira, her former husband and friend, Clark Futch of Nashville, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Elouise Freeman of Mobile, AL and Margaret Wood of Dearborn, Michigan. Mrs. Haney is preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Haney, one son, Richard Larry Haney, one daughter in law, Barbara S. Haney, five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at one p. m. at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend V. L. Daughtery officiating. She will be placed in the chapel at noon. Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira from six until eight p. m. Friday.
