Earl Wallace Sharpe

July 8, 1922 — June 22, 2010

Earl Wallace Sharpe, 87, of Hahira, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Memorial Convalescent Center in Adel. He was born on July 8, 1922 in Lowndes County to the late Robert Emmett Sharpe and Avie Lou Wetherington Sharpe. Mr. Sharpe was a retired farmer and a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Sharpe of Hahira, one daughter and son in law Janie Lou Jones (Ronald) of Barney, two sons and daughters in law, Earl Dean Sharpe (Deborah Haney) and Jeff Allen Sharpe (Jewel Olivia Wilson) all of Hahira, five grandchildren, David Jones (Teresa), Darren Jones (Cathy), Dean Alexander Sharpe (Whitney), Jason Andrew Sharpe (Allison) and Sarah Elizabeth Henderson (John), ten great grandchildren and one sister, Beverly Wilkes of Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mr. Sharpe will be held Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11 a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
