Ealie Doyle Herring

Ealie Doyle Herring, 86, of Lake Park, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Fellowship Home in Brooks County. He was born on June 2, 1936, in Lake Park, GA, to the late Leland Herring and Marie Tomlinson Herring. He was a FFA member during his high school years and went on to become a farmer, winning outstanding young farmer of the year in 1970 and 1979. He enjoyed camping, fishing and supervising his farm. He was married to his loving wife Glenda for 64 years.

Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Glenda Dennis Herring, of Lake Park; his four sons and their spouses, Danny and Joy Herring, Gene Herring (special friend Sandy), Russell and Susie Herring, and Joey and Lisa Herring, all of Lake Park; his grandchildren, John, Ashlei, Jennifer, Kacey, Jordan, Joley, Matt, Sam, Ben, Levi, Kelsi, Kayla, Alexis, and Landon; fourteen great grandchildren; his brother Maynard Herring, of Valdosta; a sister, Marilyn Nichols, of Lake Park, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Stan Herring, and sister Arlene Herring.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
