E. West Goldwire

E. West Goldwire, 72, of Dixie, died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. He was born on May 25, 1934 in Jacksonville, FL to the late James Ashley Goldwire, Sr. and Jennie Fowler Goldwire. Mr. Goldwire was retired from the United States Army after serving 22 years.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Goldwire of Dixie, one daughter, Elizabeth Larkin of Leesburg, four grandchildren, one brother and sister in law, Bill and Georgia Goldwire of Yulee, FL and is preceded in death by three brothers.

Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be held Saturday, May 5, 2007 at two p. m. in Dixie Cemetery. Burial will follow. The family will recieve friends Friday, May 4, 2007 from six until eight p. m. at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at mclanefuneralservices.com.
