DWAYNE ALLEN PARKS, 46, of Valdosta, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010, at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born December 9, 1963 in Quitman, a son of the late David and Doris Hancock Parks. Dwayne had been a painter and carpenter for many years, and was known for his great work. He always had a positive outlook on life and enjoyed his many friends.
He is survived by three brothers, Donny Franklin Parks of Quitman, David Michael Parks of Knoxville, TN, and Wesley Dale Parks and his wife Kay of Quitman; nieces and nephews; three aunts and one uncle, Betty and Paul Jones of Quitman, Hazel Smith of Macon, and Gean Hancock of Valdosta. He was predeceased by a brother, Darrell Martin Parks.
Graveside Services for Dwayne will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Quitman. Dwayne's family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:15 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010, at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta.
