Dr. Janice Elaine Sanner Merriman

Dr. Janice Elaine Sanner Merriman, 63, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Hollywood, California on January 21, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Edna Claire Barnett Sanner. Dr. Merriman had made her home in Valdosta for the past 22 years where she was the Sensory Motor Director for Parkwood Development Center. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are her husband, John Merriman of Valdosta; sisters, Cynthia Cohan of San Mateo, California, Diana Francese of Colorado Springs, Colorado, stepsons, Michael Merriman of Faith, South Dakota, Donn Merriman of Boise, Idaho, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Don Stanley will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglas College Scholarship Fund, New Brunswick, NJ in memory of Dr. Janice Elaine Sanner Merriman.
