Dot Gupton

Dot Gupton, 70, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. Born on March 3, 1936 in Warrenton, NC, she was the daughter of the late William and Eleanor Rudd Allen. She was a retired sales associate with J.C. Penney and a member of Swilley Hill Church of God.

Survivors are her husband, Ed Gupton of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Trish Gupton of Valdosta, Ray and Jeannie Gupton of Valdosta; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Andy Ganas of Valdosta, Sharon and Wayne Sullivan of Jennings, FL; grandchildren, April Ganas, Andy Ganas, Jr., Candi Ganas, Jacob Sullivan, Denah Gupton, Sabrina Gupton, Rachel Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Corey Jaramillo, Taylor Jaramillo and Brawdy Gupton; three sisters, Peggy Strickland and Hazel Clark of Henderson, NC and Minnie Ennis of Garner, NC.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2006 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Frier and Reverend Bill Campbell officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
