DOROTHY PERRY ROLFE, 68, of Lake Park died Friday, February 10, 2006 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 16, 1937 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Benjamin and Dorothy Hernburger Perry and had lived in Lowndes County for many years. Mrs. Rolfe was a Methodist and had worked in the gift shop at Cracker Barrel in Lake Park. She loved the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Bridgeman Band, her grandchildren and her cats. She was always willing to help other people.
Survivors include three daughters and sons in law, Becky and Billy Faircloth of Lake Park, Margaret and Benny Porter of Lake Park, Marie and Richard Fesler of Valdosta, her grandchildren, Kristi Faircloth, Chase Faircloth, Amber Porter, Zach Porter, Shanna Fesler, Brent Fesler and Kaylee Fesler, two great grandchildren, Chance Faircloth and Gavin Porter-Grimes, her former husband, Ormond Rolfe of Dasher. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Ben Perry, Thomas Perry, John Henry Perry, Will Rogers Perry and Sankey Perry.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, February 12, 2006 in the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Park. Burial will follow in the Dasher Cemetery.
