Dorothy M. Bauer

Dorothy M. Bauer, 87, of Valdosta died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on September 7, 1927 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Henry and Elizabeth Larsen. Mrs. Bauer lived in Valdosta since 1975, was a homemaker and a member of the Elks Lodge Auxillary. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Bauer is survived by her husband, John Bauer of Valdosta, two sons and daughters in law, John and Susan Bauer of Scottsdale, AZ, Kevin and Georgianne Bauer of Valdosta, seven grandchildren, Kevin Bauer, Richard Bauer (Lacey), Jessica Purvis (James), Jennifer Webb, Justin Bauer, Kimberly Bauer and Kathleen Bauer, three great grandchildren, Heaven –Leigh Purvis, James Weldon Purvis V and Kamden Bauer. She is predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Lorraine DeVoe and Jacqueline Nuernberger.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Schappaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the urn garden at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from ten a. m. until service time at the funeral home.
