Dorothy Jackson Whitesell

Dorothy Jackson Whitesell, 94, of Quitman, died at the Brooks County Hospital on Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Born in Camden, New Jersey, in 1912, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lena Jackson. Mrs. Whitesell was a 1933 graduate of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Tequesta, Florida.

Survivors are her sons and daughters in law, James and Tallulah Whitesell of Quitman, Thomas and Charon Whitesell of Jupiter, Florida; grandchildren, William Whitesell of Valdosta, Thomas, Jr. and Janise Whitesell of St. Mary’s, Andrea and Lee Priest of Atlanta, great grandchildren, Adam Priest, Lillianna Whitesell, Lena Kathryn Whitesell; brother, Hal P. Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Whitesell and a brother, Albert J. Jackson.
