Dorothy (Dot) Harrelson Stewart

Dorothy (Dot) Harrelson Stewart, 73, of Valdosta died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at her home. She was born in Valdosta at Little Griffin Hospital on April 26, 1943 to the late Leroy and Louella McGee Harrelson and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Stewart was a member of Ousley Baptist Church and owned and operated Shear Connections. She graduated in 1962 from Cook County High School and enjoyed cooking and fishing at Keaton Beach.
Survivors include her husband of forty five years, Mack Stewart of Valdosta; two daughters and sons in law, Cindy and Tom Saunders, LeAnne and Wesley Sevier all of Winter Haven, FL; three sons and two daughters in law, Michael Crosby and Rhonda Dahl, Gary and Meridith Crosby, Justin Stewart all of Valdosta; her grandchildren and their spouses, Lyndsay and Jonathan Walker, Kailey Saunders, Michael and Nikki Crosby, Skylar Sevier, Ethan Crosby, Brandon Crosby, Shelby Hardy, Austin Lane; five great grandchildren, Hayden, Adysyn, Kinley, Mason, Jackson; her sister and brother in law, Betty and Darrell Williamson of Bainbridge, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Harrelson, two sisters and brothers in law, Ruth and Lane Byrd, Judy and Ray Ogletree, her stepfather, Rufus Peacock.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, April 15, 2017 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Stokes and Rev. Tommy Bussey officiating. Burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
