Dorothy Deloach

Dorothy DeLoach, 82, of Valdosta, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the Langdale Hospice House.

She was born June 22, 1930 in Valdosta, a daughter of the late Ralph and Lenora Fender Redish. Mrs. DeLoach was a member of Bemiss United Methodist Church. She devoted her life to her family. She was a loving wife and mother, loved being a home maker and was a great cook.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Wade DeLoach of Valdosta; four children, Scheryl Ryan of Valdosta, Deryl and wife Jill DeLoach of Riner, VA, David and wife Brenda DeLoach of Nashville, and Mitsi and husband David Catoe of Cherryville, NC; nine grandchildren, Wendy Ryan, Jessica and husband Richie Schoffstall, Mason and wife Carol Balazs, Amanda and husband Tim Miller, Ashley Green, Katie DeLoach, Crystal Catoe, Brent and wife Melanie Catoe, and Andrew Catoe; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Edgar Redish of Lake City, FL; a sister, Elizabeth and husband Richard Salter of Valdosta; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilburn Redish.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. DeLoach will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Dupree officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
