Doris Simmons Plummer, 68, of Naylor, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, April 17, 2015.
Doris was a loving mother and wife. She was selfless in many ways, often giving until she could give no more. She was very devoted and loyal, but also knew how to stand her ground when necessary.
She loved music and loved to read. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, and treasured her family up until it was time for her to join her angels in Heaven. She will be deeply missed and we will always treasure the time we were blessed to have her.
Doris is survived by her husband of fifty years, Robert L. Plummer of Naylor; two daughters, Amie and husband William Paveglio of Maryville, TN, and Dani Plummer and fiancé Jeremy Anderson of Valdosta; nine grandchildren, Skyler, Kody, Chamlynn, Christian, Cherokee, Azalea, Kylie, Emileigh and Peyton; one sister, Brenda and husband Eddie Tapley of Milledgeville; sister-in-law, Mary and husband Danny Riehl of Montana; many nieces and nephews; special family friend, Christine King of Valdosta; and the family's devoted canine companion, Roxy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Similue and Dolly Lashly Simmons; and a sister, Mary and her husband Glenn Taylor.
Private services will be held. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta.
