Doris Rust

Doris Rust, 90, of Lake Park died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Fellowship Home. She was born in Pana, Illinois on September 8, 1924 to the late Eugene and Florence Leeker Gardell. Mrs. Rust was a loving mother and homemaker and a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a golfer at Francis Lake Golf Course and a Pink Lady at South Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Rust is survived by one daughter and son in law, Debbie and David McDaniel of Barney, one son and daughter in law, Michael and Regina Rust of Millers Creek, NC, three grandchildren, Jennifer Purvis (Clay) of Tifton, Patrick Rust (MacKenzie) of Bethlehem, NC and Michael Rust, Jr. of Millers Creek, NC, three great grandchildren, Madison Purvis and Lucas Purvis of Tifton and Brooklynn Rust of Millers Creek, NC. She is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Rust, Jr. two sisters, Connie Abrams and Glen Stewart and one brother, Gene Gardell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:30 a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Donnie Duncan, Pastor of New Life Baptist Church, Adel, officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:30 a. m. Friday at the funeral home.
