Doris Marie Perkins, 83, of Valdosta passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on June 2, 1933 to the late Wendel and Ida Kinsey Elli and had lived in Valdosta for fifty two years. Mrs. Perkins was a member of New Harvest United Methodist Church and was the original owner of Ma Perkins Natural Foods in Valdosta. She was passionate about natural foods and being of service to the community
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Linda and Dennis Grimsley of Forsyth, GA, Mark and Maria Perkins of Valdosta, Tony and Terri Perkins of Lake Park, Andy and Denise Perkins of Franklin, VA, Karen Tucker of Valdosta; 10-grandchildren; 6-great grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Elli, Dick Elli; her sister and brother in law, Marilu and Bob Payne all of Morgantown, WVA and many special friends.
Graveside services were held at 2pm, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Wright officiating.
