Doris Dixon Hall, 82, of Barney, died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on April 18, 1923 in Brooks County to the late Lou Allen and Nancy Ellen Coppage Dixon. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker and nurse and a member of Campground United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Dorothy and Roland Edwards of Barney, grandchildren and their spouses, Greg and Sandra Simpson, Nancy and Stillwell Hunt, Angela and Cary Hajek, Jeanne and Jon Easterling, Christy Arnette, Jody and Jennifer Hall, Jamey Hall, ten great grandchildren, one daughter in law, Norma Jean Hall of Valdosta, one sister, Janie Newton of Hahira, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hall is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Hall, one son, Johnny Hall and one sister, Eva Hall.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at two p. m. in the Campground United Methodist Church with Reverend Larry Hauser and Reverend Debbie Cone officiating. She will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m.
