Dora Weldon Montgomery

Dora Weldon Montgomery, 88, of Valdosta passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born on March 8, 1931 in Watertown, NY to the late Floyd G. Knapp and Naomi Garland Knapp. Mrs. Montgomery was a seamstress and a founding member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Park. She enjoyed fishing, decorating cakes and crocheting.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her children, Donna Decker Roberson (Fred) of Valdosta, Shirley Whiddon (Van) of Valdosta, David Weldon (Sharla) of Orange, TX, Ronald Weldon of Valdosta, Donald Weldon of Savannah, and Joseph Weldon of Valdosta, nineteen grandchildren, Dana, Carol, Genifer, Victoria, Heather, Jamie, David, Laurie, Melissa, Tiffany, Twyla, Amber, Dalton, Glenn, Christina, Nick, Luke, Hannah and Liz, thirty nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Elwood Montgomery, and former spouse Audis Weldon, Sr., her son, Audis Weldon, Jr., her great grandson, Charles Lee Whiddon and her sister, Gladys Thomson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 at two thirty p. m. at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with Reverend Carlton Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
