Donny E. Pittman

Donny E. Pittman, 56, of Valdosta, died at his home on Saturday, January 27, 2007 after a brief illness. Born in Brooks County, on December 10, 1950, he was the son of the late Guy C. and Edith Jackson Pittman. Mr. Pittman had served in the U. S. Navy and was a retired IBEW Electrician. He was a member of Azalea City Church of God and the Freedom Riders Motorcycle Club.

Survivors are his wife, Sue of Valdosta, three daughters and a son in law, Angela Strawder of Valdosta, Donna Carter of Valdosta, Tina and Chad Pittman of Valdosta; three sons and two daughters in law, Rodney and Melody Phelps of Valdosta, Robby and Lynn Exum of Valdosta, Rusty Brabham of Valdosta; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters in law, Cecil and Rose Pittman of Madison, Florida, Jimmy and Orbie Pittman of Valdosta; a sister and brother in law, Diane and Guy Waggie of Warner Robins and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at Azalea City Church of God on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 2 p.m. Reverend Raymond Gabbard will officiate. Burial will be at Lake Park Cemetery. Mr. Pittman will lie in state at the church for one hour before service time.
