Donaldson Walker Johnson, Iii

Donaldson Walker Johnson, III, 47, of Valdosta passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center after a courageous three year battle with cancer. He was born in Valdosta on October 10, 1968 to Donaldson W. Jr. and Linda Sue Walker Johnson. Donaldson was a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church and a sales representative with Tucker Rocky Distributing. He enjoyed participating in his children's activities and spending time with his family at the beach. Donaldson also enjoyed participating at Crossfit-Valdosta.
Survivors include his wife, Kristy Pickard Johnson; his daughter, Brianna Johnson; his son, Walker Johnson; his parents, Donald and Sue Johnson; brother and sister in law, Chris and Melanie Johnson all of Valdosta; several nieces and nephews; his mother in law, Nell Pickard of Fitzgerald, GA; sister in law, Kitty Pickard Bishop of Leesburg, GA; brother in law and sister in law; Lee and Tina Pickard of Byron, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald (Dub) and Nan Johnson of Stockton; Sidney and Verdie Walker of Homerville and his father in law, Ernest Pickard of Fitzgerald, GA.
A Celebration of Donaldson's Life will be at 5pm, Sunday, July 10, 2016 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Father Stan White officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-5pm at the funeral home and following the memorial service. Memorials may be made to the charity or organization of one's choice.
