Donald Ray Staten

Donald Ray Staten, 63, of Echols County died Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 10, 1956 to the late Quinton and Arvella James Staten and had lived in Echols County most of his life. He was a member of Francis Lake Baptist Church. Donald was a pilot who loved flying his helicopters. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Donald also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son and daughter in law, Justin and Victoria Staten of Lake Park; two grandchildren, Kyleigh Staten, Wyatt Staten; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Lavon and Tissy Staten of Hattiesburg, MS, Tommy and June Staten of Statenville, Linda Staten of Statenville, Diane S. and Jimmy Carter of Lake Park, Patricia B. and Greg Britcher of Pleasant Hill, IA, Denise B. and Bob Tebedo of Lake Park, Sam Brewer of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina C. Staten.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Francis Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Eldridge Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Staten Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 5-7pm at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
