Donald O. Culpepper

Donald O. “Buck” Culpepper, 79, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Heritage House Nursing Home. He was born in Brooks County, Georgia on October 14, 1930 to the late Obbie and Willie Mae Crosby Culpepper. Mr. Culpepper served in the United States Army from 1951 until his retirement in 1973. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion Post 13. After his retirement from the Army he worked as a supervisor for the Lerio Corporation.

Mr. Culpepper is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lottie Culpepper of Valdosta, daughter and son in law, Eva and John Plowden of Valdosta, one son, William O. “Billy” Culpepper of Killeen, Texas, daughter and son in law, Donna and Craig Bennett of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Christy Hawkins and her husband, Robert, Dawn Jepson and her husband, Allan, Travis Bennett, Brandon Culpepper, four great grandchildren, Gabrielle Hawkins, Brady Jepson, Micah Hawkins and Kelsey Jepson.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2009 at three p. m. at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jerry Long officiating. Burial will follow. Full military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
