Donald Lee Nestler

DONALD LEE NESTLER, 81, of Hahira died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at the Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville after a sudden illness. He was born in 1926 in MaComb, Illinois to the late Paul and Marguerite Setterdahl Nestler. Mr. Nestler was a supervisor with the Veterans Administration and a Lutheran. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in World War II and Korea.

Survivors include his wife, Traude Schmidt Nestler of Hahira, son and daughter in law, John Michael and Catherine Nestler of Vicksburg, MS., daughter and son in law, Claudette and Bobby Carter of Valdosta, granddaughter, Sara Nestler of Biloxi, MS., grandson, Michael Nestler of Warner Robins, his twin sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Gene Heller, brother and sister in law, Frank and Mardel Nestler all of Illinois, special niece, Jeannie Anderson of Allen, TX., numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, June 21, 2007 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Vollenweider officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
