Donald "Donnie" Ray Bailey, Sr., 53, of Quitman died on June 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born on July 20, 1961 in Valdosta to the late Donald Bailey and Diane Stephens Luke and has been a resident of this area all his life. He retired from PCA as a Lab Tester in the Pulp Lab and was a member of Azalea City Church of God. Donnie was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donnie, Jr. and Sarah Bailey, and David Bailey and his fiancé, Natosha Michelle all of Valdosta; a daughter, Charletia Bailey and her fiancé, Patrick Pattillo of Marble, North Carolina; his former wife of 29 years, Charlotte Bailey of Morven; his grandchildren, Dallen Nicole Bailey and Lillie Kate Bailey both of Valdosta; his parents, Colin and Diane Luke and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Blake Cox and Kay and Robert Martin all of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bailey.
Services for Donald "Donnie" Ray Bailey, Sr. will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2015 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Brett Jarriel officiating.
