Don Brooker, Jr., 56, of Quitman, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his home. He was born in Palm Beach, FL on October 7, 1962 to the late Don Edison Brooker, Sr. and Doris Jean Walls Brooker. Don graduated in 1980 from Brooks County High School and then from Thomas County Tech as a Refrigeration and HVAC Technician. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. He worked for Sanderson Farms in Moultrie as an Industrial Maintenance Technician. Don was a handyman and a UKC Bench Judge.
Don is survived by his wife Robbie Brooker, of Quitman, his three sons Brandon Brooker (Lauren) of Cumming, GA, Michael Brooker, of Tallahassee, FL, and Noah Brooker, of Quitman, one grandson, Chase Brooker, and his brother Dwayne Brooker (Angela) of Valdosta, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Rodney James Brooker.
A funeral service for Don will be held at the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Edgar Wood and Rev. Ken Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
