Dianne Reese, 69, of Valdosta, died on Friday, February 7, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health. Dianne was born in Valdosta on November 22, 1955, to the late Carlton and Ruby Nell McGill Walker. She was a graduate of Lowndes High School and moved to various places with her family during her husband’s tenure with the Navy. She eventually came back to Valdosta and worked as a sale’s clerk with Southern Stationary for many years. Dianne was known as a strong-willed individual who fiercely loved her family and had been a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ.
Her survivors include her husband of 50 years, Keith Reese of Valdosta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Donna Reese of Jesup and Jason and Louise Reese of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Cheyenne Reese of Fitzgerald, Brooke Reese of Jesup, Alex Kurtz and his spouse Sadie Kurtz, Brandon Reese, Jeremy Reese, Lilith Morgan, and William Reese all of Valdosta; her great-grandchildren, Waylon Kurtz, Emmett Kurtz and Kayce Kurtz; siblings and their spouses, Tony and Terri Walker, Raymond and Darlene Walker, and Eric Walker all of Valdosta, and Amiee and Tommy Hopkins of Lakeland, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her granddaughter, Brittany Marie Reese and a niece, Sydni Walker.
Services for Dianne Reese will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. John Klimko officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
