Diane Hughes Meeks, 54, of Lake Park, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at her home. She was born in Hahira on August 2, 1953. Mrs. Meeks was a school teacher. She taught at Lowndes Middle School, St. Jerome Catholic School in Hyattsville, Maryland and St. John Catholic School of Valdosta. Mrs. Meeks is a member of Frances Lake Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Meeks, one daughter, Katie Meeks, her parents, L. C. and Hazel Hughes all of Lake Park, two brothers and sisters in law, Gary and Sue Hughes of Jacksonville, FL and Marshall and Kay Hughes of Valdosta, two nieces, Rita Hughes and Jennifer Hughes and one nephew, Douglas Hughes.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008 at two p. m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with Reverend Eldridge Lyons and Reverend Robert Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lake Park. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at mclanefuneralservices.com.
