Derry H. Howell

Derry H. Howell, 82, of Hahira died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Fellowship Home. He was born in Hahira, a town he truly loved on July 25, 1934 and was the son of the late Hamp Howell and the late Aline Zeigler Howell Daniels. Mr. Howell was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church and retired from the United States Air Force. He loved planes, trains and photography.
Survivors include four sisters and two brothers in law, Tommie Sue and Rob Dickey of Lawrenceville, GA, Elizabeth Daniel of Snellville, GA, Jan and Ken (Buddy) Baker, Ann Guess, all of Morven, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother in law, Donald (Doodle Bug) Guess. The family would like to express their appreciation to the administration and staff of the Fellowship Home for their love and care to Derry.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, GA.
