Dennis L. Boutwell, 64, of Youngstown, Florida and formerly of Hahira died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his home. He was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on November 27, 1951 to the late Andrew J. (A.J.) and Gracie Mae Avery Boutwell and had lived in Hahira for many years before moving to Youngstown. Mr. Boutwell was a Baptist, a Mason and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Dennis was very personable, never meeting a stranger and always saw the good in everyone. He enjoyed playing the guitar with his brother, traveling and playing golf.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons in law, Teri and Steven Jolly of Valdosta, Michelle and Randy Simpson of Warner Robins, Denise Boutwell of Atlanta, Toni DeLoach of Valdosta; a son, Alex Boutwell of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Matthew Bolen, Andrew Bolen, A. J. Simpson, Wes Simpson, Cohen DeLoach and Colten DeLoach; two brothers and sisters in law, Stacy and Vicki Boutwell, Steve and Laurie Boutwell all of Hahira; sister and brother in law, Lana and Ray Turner of Wetumpka, AL; his special friend, Gayle Petrie of Youngstown, FL; numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Aubrey (Kimbo) Boutwell.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robert Vickers officiating.
