Delma H. Nichols, Jr.

Delma H. Nichols, Jr., 87, of Valdosta died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman. He was born on January 17, 1926 in Birmingham, AL to the late Delma Humphrey Nichols, Sr. and Willie Guess Nichols. Mr. Nichols was a retired aircraft mechanic with Eastern Airlines. He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946.

Mr. Nichols is survived by his son and daughter in law, Terry and Vicki Nichols of Miami, FL, two step sons and step daughters in law, Jerry and Janet Webb of Thomasville and Tommy and Lisa Webb of Jacksonville, FL, seven grandchildren, Jennifer Allred (Ben), Sharon Webb, Byron Webb, Tyler Webb, Michelle Falco (John), Stacie Nichols and Kristin Scott, three great grandchildren, Ben Peace, Tony Scott and Natalie Marie Falco, one sister, Mary Rebecca (Cookie) Creech of Valdosta, three cousins, Betty Jean Simpson, Bill Rountree and Brenda Coombs. He is preceded in death by Betty Jo Nichols, Eloise Cowart Webb Nichols and Tony Lyle Nichols.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery near Hahira. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p. m. at the funeral home.
