Deborah Rogers Sikes

DEBORAH ROGERS SIKES, 59, of Lake Park, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at South Georgia Medical Center after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born September 29, 1950 in Valdosta, a daughter of the late Tommy DeWitt and Beulah Marie Ward Rogers. Mrs. Sikes was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, where she was pianist. Her family was number 1, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed music and practical jokes.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Jack R. Sikes of Lake Park; daughter and son-in-law, Shana and Tim Yorkey of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Micah and Amanda Riggle of Dalton; daughter and fianc�, Brandi Ratcliffe and Kyle Justice of Barney; twelve grandchildren, Paige Yorkey, Drew Yorkey, Eli Gilmore, Emileigh Ratcliffe, Ericah Ratcliffe, Jacob Justice, Hana Justice, Jessica Justice, Fischer Ratcliffe, Nathan Riggle, Lena Riggle, and Joshua Yorkey; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Jan Rogers of Clyattville; brother, Lanny �Bo� Rogers of Quitman; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Craig Friis of Lake Park; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; and her favorite music director, Tony Franks.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Sikes will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 9, 2010, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home of Valdosta, with Dr. Henry Cannington and Dr. Ernie Jones officiating. Mrs. Sikes� family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the funeral home.
