Debbie Marrone

Debbie Marrone, 60, of Lake Park, died on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Greenville, Alabama on October 12, 1956 to Herman Jones and the late Nellie Mae Yancey Jones. She grew up as an Army brat and lived in many different parts of the world. Debbie worked as a Forensic Scientist at the Alabama Crime Lab in Montgomery, Alabama prior to working as a senior make-up artist with Estee Lauder with Belk and the Moody Air Force Base Exchange. Debbie had a bright and outgoing personality and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, loved her. She was kind, caring, loving and exhibited a sympathetic spirit to those in need.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Marrone of Lake Park; her son, Eric McCrae of Clio, Alabama; two grandchildren, Cap and Brock McCrae also of Clio, Alabama; her father, Herman Jones of Dothan, Alabama; sisters, Joan Hopkins and Wanda Drinkwater both of Ashford, Alabama, Janice Lewis and Kim Jones both of Dothan; her brother, Charlie Jones also of Dothan; two half-sisters, Janie Swearingen and Joyce Stewart both of Jacksonville, Florida; her step-children, Mathew Marrone of Orlando, Florida and Lauren Marrone of Dallas, Georgia; nieces, Kelly Marks and Makala Dringwater, and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Mae Yancey Jones; her sister, Donna McCraney, and her niece, Katie Dringwater.
A memorial service for Debbie Marrone will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Davis officiating.
