David R. Christian, Jr.

David R. Christian, Jr., 63, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born on September 1, 1957 in Langdale, Alabama to David, Sr. and Jewell Ann Leak Christian.
David was a lumber broker for over 30 years, most of that time was with The Langdale Company and in the last few years with Pruett Forest Products in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Affectionately known in the industry and in turn his personal life as Spanky or Spank, David had a passion for the lumber industry and its people who were more like extended family.
David was an active member of New Covenant and was very involved in its ministry and outreach. He loved his church family dearly. He was also and avid and passionate supporter of the Valdosta High Wildcats and the University of Georgia. More than anything, David loved spending time with his two boys and his family.
He is survived by his sons, Matt Christian of Valdosta, and Kyle Christian and his fiancée, Erica Bigham both of Atlanta; his parents, David Sr., and Jewell Ann Christian of Valdosta; his brother, Jay Christian of Valdosta; a nephew, Ryan Christian of Valdosta; his niece, Jessica Christian of Jacksonville, Florida and his great-niece, Hannah Morrow also of Jacksonville, and other family and friends.
