David Parmer, Sr.

David Parmer, Sr., 67 of Jennings, FL died on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at North FloridaRegional Hospitalin Gainesvilleafter a lengthy illness. Born on March7, 1939 in Bellefontaine, OH, he was the son of the late Marion Martin and Donna Jane Alexander Parmer. He had worked in the mining field and was a locomotive engineer for PCS formerly Occidental for 28 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vivian Parmer of Jennings;daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Ricky Fletcher of Valdosta, Debbie Parmer of Lake Park, Lori and Robert Cantey of Statenville, Tina and Jerry McDaniel of Jasper, FL; son, David Merle Parmer, Jr. of Jennings; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Fredy Lopez of Lake Park, Jerri and Alex Marquez of Jennings, Brenda and Mario Ortega of Statenville; Jessica Martinez of Lake Park; adopted daughters, Cindy Baunoch of Jasper, Kathy McDonald of Lee, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and Paul True of Russell Point, OH, Nellie Dysert of Bellefontaine, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marion and Doris Parmer, Russell and Nancy Parmer all of Bellefontaine; Larry and Teddy Parmer of Columbus, OH;19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Jane Mickes, two grandchildren, Sonja Cantey and Miranda Parmer and a son-in-law, Jose` Martinez.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Mickler officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery.
