Wayne Bullard, 73, of Hahira, died on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born on January 15, 1951, in Tatum, South Carolina to the late John Douglas and Mary Lucy Clanton Bullard. Mr. Bullard was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps and was a retired United States Postal Service mail carrier and clerk. Mr. Bullard has been a fixture in the Hahira community for many years from working in the post office, serving on the city council, serving as mayor, Hahira Honey Bee committee, Lions Club and American Legion. He attended Hahira Church of God.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Janice Hingson Bullard, of Hahira; two sons and daughters-in-law, David Jr., and Tanya Bullard of Tucson, Arizona, and Christopher and Haley Bullard of Hahira; his daughter, Elli Bullard; grandchildren, Jaycee Bullard, David Bullard III, Abby Bullard, and Miranda Bullard; his siblings and their spouses, William and Waunell Bullard of Hahira, Patsy and Ron Roberts of Oklahoma, and Ricky and Sheryl Bullard of Douglas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services for Wayne Bullard will be held at 2pm on Friday, March 15, 2024, in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home of Hahira with Pastor Brian Whitley officiating. The burial will follow in the Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
